From late July to early November, Hervey Bay has become famous as
the playground of the majestic humpback whales on their return to
the Antarctic when the whales frolic in the warm waters of the bay.

Jazz Club Gig
Hervey Bay Jazz Club
meets on the last Friday of each month
at the Hervey Bay Boat
Club except where otherwise advertised. They present local and out
of town musicians of a high professional standard.
Sundays
in the Park
Hervey Bay Council for
the Arts presents 'Sunday in the Park' at Scarness Stage on the
4th Sunday of every month . Each month will feature bands, dancers
and musicians for all ages from 1pm -3pm. BYO Food, chairs or blanket
to sit on.
Every
March - Fraser Coast Cultural Festival
The Fraser Coast Cultural Festival usually starts with a Parade
of Nations at 10.00 a.m., with performers and local groups in costume,
intermingled with local bands. After the opening ceremony by local
dignitaries and consuls of some of the countries represented, performances
will start at 11.00 a.m. and go on until 5.30 p.m. There are cultural
performances on two stages, children's stage and a band stage as
well as roving performers. High quality cultural performers come
from all over Australia intermingled with local talent. The Children's
stage will have entertainment for children of all ages, including
local schools. There will be an International food-court and other
food and craft stalls.

17th July 2010 - Return of the Whales - Launch of the Hervey Bay
Whale Watching Season
View the whale boats
at the Marina. Live music, wine and seafood sampling, face
painting, balloons and Whale Trail Competition. Whale Watching
passes to be won.

7th August 2010 - Hervey Bay Whale
Festival
'Whale of a Time' - family
fun festival at Seafront Oval with stalls, rides, food & bev,
roving performers and stage entertainment. Bring along your folding
chair and enjoy the spectacle of the Illuminated Street Parade later
in the afternoon, featuring dazzling floats created by community
organisations set to bring the Hervey Bay foreshore to life.
The evening concludes with a Live Whale Aid concert featuring
a line-up of talented Australian musicians with a strong focus on
raising funds for whale conservation. An exciting fireworks display
will complete the celebrations.

Festival
Queenslands biggest seafood
specatacular showcases the local catch of fish, prawns, scallops
and crabs of the Fraser Coast with a menu featuring both hot and
cold ocean delights.
